This was a sunny day , yet, very cold as the temperature was only about 1 degree!!

Therefore, me and my dear cycling partner, Palash, decided it's best to go for a short ride , which turned out to be a good decision (and allowed me to go for an early morning run as well:).

We started from Otaniemi , and via Kauniainen headed towards Nuuksio. The original plan was to cycle to Solvalla and back but since i had just cycled there week earlier for the Nouxtreme race i preferred to go to Siikaranta and Palash agreed with that since the total distance is almost the same and he had not visited there before..

Siikaranta is a beautiful hotel located beside in Nuuksio next to the shore of Siikajärvi lake. The way there leads thorough one of the most beautiful countrysides of Espoo and is quite hilly.

We were really happy to finally arrive there as we were both feeling quite cold and our feet started to freeze. We took some pictures (for the sake of Strava:) and then decided to warm up with some coffee and a snack...

As there are not any cofffee shops close to Siikaranta, we decided that it would be best to go to Bemböle caffehouse (http://www.bembolenkahvitupa.net/eng.html) which is on our way back anyway. We were so relieved and happy at the same time to finally reach the coffeehouse as we both needed a warm drink and wanted to just relax and enjoy this sunny though cold day.

The caffe is located in a very old farm building and it was quite full of people that day. Whenever i enter a restaurant of a coffee place with my cycling clothes i feel a bit awkward and uncomfortable at the beginning especially when some people are staring at me :)

This time we didn't care and just came in and ordered coffee and some pie..we had a long chat , warmed up and then headed back home. In fact, it was so nice and cosy in the coffeehouse that if they weren't planning to close we would probably stay there for much longer..

Anyway, below you can find the video i shot with my GoPro from this ride.
